Dear Meenakshi and Ron,
I attended your kirtan for the first time on Saturday night. I brought with me a few friends and all of us just LOVED your music. It was inspirational and powerful and we were left full of peace and joy.
Thank you for sharing your gifts with the rest of us. I feel so blessed to have you both in my life.
I would like to attend any future kirtans and hope to bring more of my friends!

Kirtan with Dave Stringer and SWAHA
at Downward Dog Yoga Centre
Sunday, May 4
An introduction to the yoga of chanting for those who aspire to lead kirtan, to introduce chanting into yoga classes, to establish a daily chanting practice, or to simply deepen their experience and understanding of chanting. You'll learn to chant traditional opening and closing mantras, to explore their significance and history, and to explain their meanings in simple language. The workshop will also investigate the yoga of finding a comfortable relationship with your singing voice and developing rhythmic abilities. No previous experience is necessary. Everyone is born with the basic equipment to be musical: a voice and a pair of hands. But participants who are proficient in playing an instrument are invited to bring them along, as we will also be exploring the art of ensemble playing for kirtan. Basic instruction will also be offered on playing the harmonium, tamboura, and finger cymbals. For more information about Dave Stringer go to www.davestringer.com.
TIMES: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
LOCATION: 473A Church street, 1 block south of Wellesley 2nd floor
